Friday - Period 4

Assessment Task - Speech presentations (continued).

So You Think You Can Dance 24/03/10  - Take a look at this dance from this weeks episode.  It is a narrative about homelessness.  The female is the homeless person who is contrasted to the man in the business outfit.  Their dance in unison symbolises that they really are the same, and the end shows that the man can easily become homeless if something causes his to world change.

Homework:  Using the 'comments' link below this post, you are to post a comment stating which speeches presented today you found most effective. You need to explain why this speech was effective and you can address both the content of the speech and the presentation (delivery). This is not a vote for friends, but rather information to demonstrate your understanding of the topic and speech presentation.

From listening to today's lesson of speeches, I thought that Maddi's speech was most effective.
She spoke greatly with confidence and as a member of the audience, you could see that she had practised the presentation of her speech. She applied an effective use of eye contact, which made the audience engaged in her speech.
She also had a great understanding of the concepts studied in 'Slake's Limbo'.
Overall, most speakers did a great job :)

From listening to today's lesson with the speech , i thought that anthony had a speech which was quite interesting. he spoke really confidently and i , as apart of the audience , could tell that he must have practised it a lot. he has shown a lot of examples of what it would be like to be homeless. he has used a lot of intersting examples on the text " slakes limbo" and compared them to todays life.
All the other speakers did a great job on the presentation of there speech :)

I think Maddi's speech was the most effective on friday .She maintained good eye contact with everyone in the class, and her ideas keep the whole class interested.

i thought drew's, aarons, and anthony's were very effective. they all spoke clearly, and got their point across. as a member of the auidience, i thought that they all kept good eye-contact, they knew what they were talking about, and showed that well.
